I got this off the internet. Lovely shot of one of the new air-conditioned billets with the Forces Post Office in the background then two billets going uphill in two steps. the second of the billets is the one where we lived on the top floor. A closer look will show : and RAF 3 tonner at the end of PO winding its way up the hill. Submitted by: Harold Meads

Taken on Christmas Day or Boxing Day at the billet bar built by the occupants of the top floor (220/2 Chapel Hill I think) As a small unit we were billeted with the RAF st Steamer Point. Tradition was that the RAF MU loaned each billet a large fridge for Christmas and the OC et al awarded a liquid prize for the best hand built bar. we had a great bunch of RAF mates Behind the bar Clive Jones, in the background some faces I don't recall. at the bar L to R Harry Meads in waistcoat, George Gill, Harry Arnold, Ernie Hill Foreground Roy Biggs, Alan Chown. Behind Chown is McGowan - I think - who was Cassevacced home with a broken leg. The only one of these people that I know anything about since demob is Roy Biggs who I made contact with via your website. I'm also in touch with Alan davies who I knew briefly at PTS Mill Hill 1959/60.
