Welcome to the June 2021 Chairman’s chat as we continue to head towards the end of Covid lockdown activities. Hopefully, your families and friends continue to be well and in good health as we progress. It appears that the June 21st ‘all clear’ date will be reviewed by Government Ministers on 14th June next. Let’s keep our fingers crossed then!
In relation to the latest announcements and previous roadmap (see April 2021 newsletter) we are now heading for Step 3 on the 21st of June. So I’m finally delighted this month to have only one traffic light for you:
Hopefully, we will actually progress safely to Step 3, even with the ‘India variant’ in circulation. Like many, I am fortunate to have had two jabs now.
Just a Reminder…..Have you booked for the PCS Branch Reunion Dinner at the Village Hotel Liverpool, which has now been postponed until Saturday 2 April 2022. The change of date follows feedback from members. It also avoids the Grand National and Easter, both of which attract premium room rates.
A group rate has been arranged with a standard double room at £90.00 B&B (£80.00 single occupancy) Please contact Victoria Proven, Director of Sales, on 01925 247 712 to book in on the PCS block booking.
The cost of the Gala Dinner is £25.00 (paid separately to the Branch Treasurer). Please also advise Larry Peacock of your booking at: email@example.com
- For those who have booked the meal with Larry Peacock already, he will carry those details on for the new April date.
- For those who have booked meals and wish to cancel, please inform Larry Peacock and he will arrange a refund.
Those who have booked rail travel should contact the relevant Train Operating Company to amend their bookings.
If anyone has a problem with the new or old arrangements, then please contact Larry and he will try and sort them out.
Take care, stay safe, and follow the rules.
Catch up soon….sincerest wishes,
