REA Minley Weekend

ROYAL ENGINEERS ASSOCIATION (REA) MINLEY WEEKEND 22 – 23 JULY 2023 CALLING NOTICE

Outline of events.  A welcome pack containing a detailed breakdown of the weekend’s events and relevant information will be issued to all REA members on arrival at the Reception Centre.  The weekend will however be broken into 3 distinct phases:

a.          ‘Meet & Greet’.  This phase will take place within SSVC on Sat 22 Jul 23. Breakfast baps, tea & coffee will be served at 1030hrs. The CO and RSM will welcome all guests onto station and give a Corps update. 

b.         Royal Engineers Open Day.  The main event for Sat 22 Jul 23 will be the Station Families day, showcasing Royal Engineer capabilities through static and practical stands as well as fun activities for families.  This will be followed by a social function in the evening within the Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants Mess, comprising of a presentation from a guest speaker, a raffle and buffet.

c.         Chaplain Service.  On Sun 23 Jul 23 the Station Chaplain will host a church service in the Warrant Officers’ & Sergeants’ Mess which will be followed by a Carvery lunch in the Officers’ Mess prior to Dispersal.  The weekend will conclude NLT 1500 hrs on the Sunday.
